Daughter of Adelbert Lucas Relyea and Amanda Louisa (Keeler) Somervill Relyea as the fifth of six Relyea children. Amanda also had six Somervill children by a previous marriage. Mabel was born in Blackman Township, Jackson, Michigan. Family moved from Michigan to New Plymouth, Idaho about 1898. Mabel married John Addison Bankus on 29 May 1904 in New Plymouth, Idaho. Family moved to Crescent Mills, Plumas County, California about 1924-1928. Their children were 5 daughters and 2 sons with 3 daughters surviving to 2008. Passed away at home of her sister, Pearl Anna (Relyea) Hoffman in Vallejo, CA.
