 Andrew was the son of John Hutsell (1780-1853) & Christina Hounshell (1782-1859). He had 10 siblings, Elijah (1806), Joel (1808), Julianna (1810), James (1811), Samuel Montgomery (1813), Susannah (1816), Malvina (1818), Elizabeth (1821), David Lewis (1823), & George Michael (1825). Andrew married Mary Earheart (1814-1891) on 17 May 1832 in Montgomery Co., VA. They had 13 children, Margaret Esabella (1833), John Earheart (1835), George Washington (1837), Elijah Mongomery (1838), Clemanda Virginia (1839), Ellen Missouri (1841), Aphelia Burns (1843), William Harrison (1845), Erasmus Taylor (1847), Ursula Davis (1849), Mary Etta (1852), Artemisa "Arly" Roxina (1854), & Helen Vernon (1857). Andrew served in the military with the rank of Colonel.
