MAGNA-Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Ruby Marie Garcia Martinez returned to her Heavenly Father, March 3, 2005 at Pioneer Valley Hospital in West Valley City, Utah.






She was born Sept. 15, 1920 in Pagosa Springs, CO to Jose and Margarita Archuleta Garcia. She married Felix S. Martinez in 1942. Ruby looked forward to spring so she could sit on her porch and feed the birds. She enjoyed visiting with her many friends, and she loved to go fishing and camping.






She truly loved her best friend, Rose Gutierrez and her adopted daughter, Betty Martinez. Survived by her children, Leo (Gloria) Martinez, Elsie (Selimo) Padilla, Arlene Maez, Rose Marie Bringhurst, John (Andrea) Martinez, and Michael (Delores) Martinez; 25 grandchildren; 56 1/2 great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; brothers and sister, Phil (Betty) Garcia, Joe (Stella) Garcia, and Cassie Archuleta; and sister-in-law, Celida Garcia. Preceded in death by her husband; sons, Alfonso and Eugene; brother, John; sister, Pauline; and grandchildren, Felix, Isabela, Robert, and Little Leo.





Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 So., where Friends may call both Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to Services.
Interment: Pleasant Green Cemetery.
