June 3 Rites To Eulogize Manti WomanFuneral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 1971 in the Manti Center Ward for Mrs. Ruth Braithwaite, 59, who passed away Sunday, May 30, 1971 in a Provo hospital of natural causes.Friends may call at the Buchanan Mortuary Thursday prior to services.She was born February 28, 1912 in Aurora, Sevier County, to Enos and Martha Ann Murphy Curtis. She married B. Claude Braithwaite on May 4, 1931. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.Mrs. Braithwaite had served as president of the MIA and Relief Society organizations, as well as being a member of the Relief Society Singing Mothers.Survivors include her husband; daughters, Mrs. Karen Vaughn, Manti; Mrs. Earl (Verna) Garrett, Irving, Texas; Mrs. Larry (Joann) Wegkamp, Amhust, Massachusetts; 11 grandchildren; one great- grandchild; brothers and sisters, Doyle Curtis, Mrs. Lera Crane, Salina; Marvin Curtis, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Vernell Alverson, Lark; Ellwood Curtis, Bountiful.Burial will be in the Manti City Cemetery.
