Gustie was born to James & Hazel (Folsom) Bedwell at their home in Minneapolis. She was confirmed into the Lutheran faith June 1938. Gustie graduated from Roosevelt High School on January 27, 1939. After graduation she worked in Minneapolis and California for 15 years. On June 20, 1954, Gustie was united in marriage to Earl Anderson at St. Olof Lutheran Church. After the wedding, the couple moved to the family farm in Ann Township where they raised their three daughters; Kari, Lori, & Heidi. Family time with their children and grandchildren brought great joy to her. Gustie loved her winters in AZ with her husband. After Earl's death, Gustie became a resident of Peterson Estates in Westbrook, and later the Westbrook Good Samaritan Care Center. She was a member of the St. Olaf Lutheran Church where she served on the WELCA and as a Sunday School teacher. Gustie enjoyed flower gardening, sewing, crafts, playing cards, and spending time with family.
