Adam was born in St. Joseph, Missouri to Francis Xavier Gamerl and Elisabeth Koehlmeyer.

Adam was married to Margaret Catherine Elizabeth Miller on Feb. 4, 1896 at Wheeler Presbyterian Church in South Omaha, Nebraska, and they had nine children. This marriage was later blessed at St. Agnes Catholic Church in South Omaha.

GAMERL—Adam, age 57 years, 4925 S. 23d St. Survived by his wife, Margaret, 9 children-6 sons, John, Haelis [sic], Frank, Adam, jr., George and Joseph, 3 daughters, Mrs. Margaret Downs, and Misses Viola and Marie; 1 brother, Frank of Chicago.

Funeral services Monday from residence at 8:30 a.m. to St. Agnes church at 9 a.m. Interment St. Mary's cemetery. Arrangements in care of Larkin funeral home.
