Mearl Tollett, 69, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 23, 2002. Funeral services were conducted Jan. 25 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., with burial in Linary Cemetery. Mitchell Covington and Phil Jenkins officiated.
Mr. Tollett was born March 19, 1932, in Cumberland County, the son of Fred and Stella Hassler Tollett.
He was a school bus driver and farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Lewis Tollett of Crossville; daughters and son-in-law, Elaine Findley, and Anita and Tony Davis, all of Crossville; brothers, Roy Tollett, Will Tollett, Herb Tollett and John Tollett, all of Crossville; grandchildren and their spouses, Michelle and Kenny Rosser, Tony Jr. and Robin Davis, Dwayne and Kelly Davis, and Kevin and Rebecca Davis, all of Crossville, and Tina and Jeff Oaks of Bledsoe County; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Stella Tollett.
Pallbearers were Dwayne Davis, Tony Davis Jr., Kevin Davis, Kenny Rosser, Spencer Hassler and Jeff Oaks.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
