Marjorie Muntz, 82, of Bonaparte died at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, November 26, 1991 at University Hospitals, Iowa City.
Born September 27, 1909 in Harrisburg Township, north of Bonaparte, she was the daughter of Cain and Etta Russell. She was raised by her uncle and aunt, Adam and Lillian Russell. She married Frankie Muntz on July 9, 1928 in Keosauqua. He died in 1990.
She had lived her entire life in the Bonaparte area. She was employed at the Bonaparte Locker and White's Grocery Store. She was a member of Royal Neighbors of America.
Surviving are two sons, James Muntz of Packwood and Milo Muntz of Marion; one brother Harold Marriott of Keokuk; nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Muntz were held November 29 at Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington with Reverend Fred Malone officiating. Burial wa in the Bonaparte Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Bonaparte First Responders.
