You wanted to do what you were born to do in life. It doesn't matter to a dying person what sex you are.

What an amazing woman. You wanted to be a doctor so badly that you had to hide the truth. An amazing thing to do for something you love. Rest in peace.

Sir/Madame, the wonder is that no major movie or pointed documentary has been made and well distributed about your incredible life. Considering these are supposed to be better times, and we are alleged to be by far more "open minded," then it is indeed a true wonder, that your amazing, story is not better known, and more resoundingly being told. Certainly, this will ultimately happen, so sleep well, and continue to be ever so very patient.

Rock on, James. Thank goodness they put your real name on the headstone instead of trying to rename you after the autopsy. I'm an FTM, too. It's good to recognize myself in a stranger. Thank you for having the courage to live.
