Vera Marie Teeple age 88, of Elgin died Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at the Rosewood Care Center in Elgin. She was born on her family farm in East Dundee on November 5, 1919. Vera was the daughter of the late Peter and Nellie ( nee Drafall) Dall.
On October 18, 1941 she married Gordon C. Teeple. She was a life long resident of the Dundee/Elgin areas and had farmed along with her husband for all of her married life.
Vera was a life long member of the First Congregational Church in West Dundee and a long time member of the Kane County Farm Bureau.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara (Ken) Thrun of Sleepy Hollow; and her son, Kenneth (Carroll) Teeple of Sleepy Hollow. Other survivors include her five grandchildren, Steven (Stacey) Teeple of West Dundee, Lori Teeple of Carpentersville, Susan Thrun of Sleepy Hollow, Deborah (Ryan) Waesche of Elgin and Amy (Ralph) Williams of West Dundee; her six great-grandchildren, Colson and Reid Teeple, Madeline, Olivia, Hannah and Lillian Williams all of West Dundee; her sister, Hazel Webb of East Dundee; and her sister-in-law, Deon Botts of Elgin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon C. Teeple on October 21, 1991; her brother, Raymond Dall in 1964; and her sister, Ethel Quigle in 2008.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in the Miller Funeral home, West Dundee. Private burial will follow in the Memorial Washington Reformed Presbyterian Cemetery in Elgin. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-8 P.M. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services in the funeral home.
Please omit flowers, memorials may be made either to the University Of Chicago Childrens Hospital or the Kane County Farm Bureau Ag-in-the-Classroom program.
