Tracy A. Urbano, 29, of Northford passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in New Haven on July 6, 1978; beloved daughter of Roberta Proto Urbano and the late Mario J. Urbano. Tracy had worked for Aquatic Pool & Spa, Guilford office until leaving due to illness. Tracy will be remembered as a beautiful and courageous young woman who fought a long, hard battle against a formidable foe. She cherished her family and friends, and was most concerned for those around her, even as her own illness brought every conceivable challenge and setback. Tracy loved people and animals more than material things, but knew how to have fun with silver and gold, too. She had the right balance of sweetness and toughness, a beautiful spirit and a magnetic happiness. We are sad for the loss of a girl who was never sad, and cry for a girl who never shed a tear for herself. Our strength will come from hers. Loving sister of Domenic ( Lisa ) Urbano and Erica (Jose Segui) Urbano. Beloved granddaughter of Carmel Proto, the late Robert Proto, Domenico and Genoveffa Urbano. Loving aunt and godmother of Gioia Segui. Also survived loving aunts and uncles. The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Dr. Peter Schwartz & Staff, Dr. Wajih Zaheer & Staff and Dr. Ursula Matulonis of the Dana Farber Institute.

Her Funeral from North Haven Funeral Home, A Mass of Christian Burial in The Most Holy Trinity Church, Wallingford. Interment in All Saints Cemetery.
