1877 PERRY CO ATLAS, Beach Nichols: His son was Samuel LAY (1835-1915). S. LAY residence shown in Kennedy's Valley, Tyrone Tp, Perry Co, PA. Family from York or Lancaster County and received a land grant in western end of Kennedys Valley (Lay' s Ridge) where they built a large log house. Their house foundation could still be seen in 1950 pn LAY's Ridge in the western end of Kennedy's Valley, Tyrone Tp, which ridge is named after the family.

1877 PERRY CO ATLAS, Beach Nichols: His son was Samuel LAY (1835-1915). S. LAY residence shown in Kennedy's Valley, Tyrone Tp, Perry Co, PA. Family from York or Lancaster County and received a land grant in western end of Kennedys Valley (Lay' s Ridge) where they built a large log house. Their house foundation could still be seen in 1950 pn LAY's Ridge in the western end of Kennedy's Valley, Tyrone Tp, which ridge is named after the family.
