Sarah Louise Watson, 93, of Thayer, MO, daughter of the late Tom Louis Rogers and Lillie Belle Starks Rogers was born June 7, 1911 in Mammoth Spring, AR, and died Oct. 1, 2004 in Thayer, MO. She was united in marriage in 1943, in Salem, AR, to Elvin Clinton Watson, who preceded her in death June 23, 2003.
She was a homemaker and at the age of 78, she became a Emergency Medical Technician and worked for Oregon County Ambulance for four years.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Dean Watson and wife, Maggie, of Ozark, MO; one daughter, Anna Jean Davis and husband, James, of Mammoth Spring, AR; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Flora Schaufler of West Plains, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Charley Rogers, Lehman Rogers and Fred Rogers, one sister, Ethel Gregory and an infant sister.
The funeral service was Oct. 4, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Bill Bales and Jeff Watson officiating. Burial was in the Thayer Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Carter Funeral Home Inc. of Thayer, MO.
