Valerie Darlene Washington Ayoub, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2008, age 45, of Fredericksburg, VA, departed this life after a courageous year-long battle with breast cancer.

Preceded in death by her father, George Washington Sr.; and daughter, Brittany.

She leaves to cherish her memory a beloved husband of 21 years, Tim Ayoub, Command Master Chief, U.S. Navy; and two loving sons, Joshua and Jordan Ayoub of Fredericksburg, Va. She is also survived by her parents, Boyd and Rebecca Deyo of Bowling Green, Va.; sister, Alysia Stanton and brother-in-law, Thomas Stanton of Stafford, Va.; brother, George Washington Jr. and sister-in-law, Nichole Washington of McLean, Va.; sisters-in-law, Nagida Dolladille and her husband, Eric and Ana Ricciardi; and brother-in-law, Mahmoud "Jack" Saleh and his wife, Fran; one uncle, Oliver Washington Sr. Valerie also leaves many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and dear friends.

The family received guests for viewing at Spotswood Baptist Church, 4009 Lafayette Blvd., Fredericksburg, VA 22408 on Thursday, April 3, 2008 from 7pm to 9pm. Viewing at 10am preceded aa 11am funeral service at Spotswood Baptist Church on Friday, April 4, 2008, with interment immediately following at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Sparta, VA. Arrangements entrusted to Washington Funeral Home, Tappahannock, Va.
