A.A. Hemler, 90-year old Crook County pioneer, passed on Thursday following a heart attack.
He came west in 1882 and then in Oct. 1887 settled on a homestead in Government Valley near Sundance.
Funeral services were held at the Episcopal Church in Sundance Monday morning at 10 o'clock with Father Mullen officiating. Pall bearers were Conda and Carl Chaffin, Roy Cameron, Joe Allread, Bill Blakeman and Ralph Partlow. Burial was made at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Surviving him are his widow and four children, George T., Chester L., and William B., all of Sundance and Mrs. W. L. Connell of Hot Springs, S.D.
