Mrs. Louise F. Allen, 79, of Falcons Landing, Potomac Falls, Va., died of cancer Saturday, Dec. 15, at Loudoun County, Va., Hospital.
Twice married, she was the wife of John B. Noll from 1946 until his death in 1969. She married Merle F. Allen in 1986. Mrs. Allen was born Feb. 2, 1922, in Burkittsville.
Mrs. Allen graduated from Frederick Visitation Academy, Frederick, and worked as a secretary for a defense contractor during World War II. She later worked as a secretary in the Fairfax County public school system for 15 years. She delivered meals on wheels for many years in Arlington, Va. in support of the Fort Myers Chapel.
She and her husband moved to Falcons Landing retirement community in 1996, where she was active as a volunteer and a member of the chapel committee and choir. She was an avid golfer and bridge player at the Army-Navy Country Club.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three children, Margaret King of Burke, Va., Stephen Noll of Libertytown, and Deborah Sutermeister of Cincinnati; seven grandchildren; two step children, Margaret Greivel of Denver, and Victor Allen of Richmond, Va.; five step grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Helen O'Leary of Baltimore, Jean Dorsey of Charles Town, W.Va., and Thelma Grams of Brunswick.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, at Loudoun Funeral Home, 158 Catoctin Circle S.E., Leesburg, Va. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Falcons Landlng, Potomac Falls, followed by a reception. Interment will be private in the Reformed Cemetery, Jefferson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and Falcons Landing Benevolent Fund.
