Doyle Frazier of Fort Smith(Sebastian County), Arkansas, died Friday, March 14, 2008, in Fort Smith. He was 82 years old. Doyle was a retired bus driver for Jefferson Bus Lines. He spent many hours transporting the University of Arkansas Razorback football, basketball, and baseball teams, as well as, sport teams from the Fort Smith Public Schools and Westark Community College.
He spent a lot of time transporting military troops from base to base.
Doyle was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Grand Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas and a member of that church's Henry Oliver Men's Sunday School Class. Besides church, Doyle was a member of the Jolly Travelers, and was the instructor for the men who drove church buses. Doyle was a regular volunteer for the Optimist Club's Christmas Tree Sales.
Doyle is preceded in death by his parents; two sons: Steve and Harry Frazier.
He is survived by his wife: Mary of the home; three grandchildren: Chad Frazier and his family, Toby Frazier and his family, and Crystal Cullen and her family; four wonderful great-grandchildren: Hailey and Brayden Cullen, and Matt and Jett Frazier.
Funeral services were held on Monday, March 17, 2008, at 10:00a.m. at the Grand Avenue Baptist Church. He was buried at Roselawn Cemetery, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were: Boz, Nick, and Mike Gault, Chad Frazier, Chad Cullen, Toby Frazier, and Rob Harkness.
Honorary pallbearers were: Jefferson Bus Line Drivers and the Henry Oliver Men's Sunday School Class.
Memorials may be made to the National Parkinson's Disease Association.
