Alphonse C. "Fonnie" Bailey, 87, died in his home at Patterson School Road, Grove City, PA.

Parents: Robert O. and Frances M. Simons Bailey.

Wife: Lois Jean Rauschenbach, they married on Dec. 1, 1967. She died Aug. 11, 2007.

He was a truck driver for Milk Transport Inc. in Grove City, a bus driver for Continental Trailways and a truck driver for the former Bowie Coal Co. He was a member of First Church of God in Grove City, Montoursville Masosnic Lodge 335, and the Amalgamated Transit Union. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Relatives: two daughters, Marsha A. Howard of Grove City, and Fonnie Lynn Womer and her companion, John Saltsman, of Montoursville; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert A. and Lisa Bailey of New Castle; a sister, Hannah J. Bowser of Grove City; a brother, Richard O. Bailey of Grove City; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Rosner; and three brothers, John A. Bailey, Frederick L. Bailey and James A. Bailey.
