Great-Grandpa:I have no personal memory of you, for as the story goes, you were ill when I was born and all you wanted was to see your new great-granddaughter. Since I was pre-mature and had a birth defect, I was in the hospital for several months. Mom tells me that against everyone's wishes, once I was home she packaged me up, and got on the bus to your house. You took one look at me and said "Now, that is the cutest shirttale I have ever seen." The name kind of stuck, at least when I was being good. :o) Mom tells me that the next day, you passed away, content in having seen the newest member of the family. I have always cherished that story because I knew that I was loved by you and while I don't have any personal memory of you, I will always cherish the love you gave to me. My mom, Linda, have very happy memories of coming to your house and working in your garden. She has your love for gardening and I think she often thinks of you when she plays in the dirt. Your house was where she felt the most loved!Thank you for your love for us. Your little Shirttale, Angie
