Actor. Spanish-born Parera was born in Granada, and later appeared in both silent and sound films in the 1920s and 1930s, mainly in Europe. On a ocean liner voyage returning to Spain from America, he meets Oscar-nominated musical actress Grace Moore in 1931, Months later, he marries Moore in July of that year. The childless couple remain married until her death in 1947 in a plane crash in Sweden. By 1948, Parera married Anne van den Broeck, and remain married until his death in Madrid in 1986, at age 90.
