Harlan Ross F, 78, R. 2, Albion, died Oct. 14 in Whitley County Hospital. He was employed by the Noble County Highway Department for 25 years, including 12 years as superintendent, retiring in 1950. He was born Jan. 6, 1891, in (line missing) and Alice Huntsman Harlan. In 1914 he married Lucy Hire and they spent their married lives in Noble County. They had resided in their present home at Merriam since 1957. The Harlans had also operated a grocery store at Albion six years. Surviving are the wife, Lucy; two sons, Kenneth L. of Albion, and Max R. of Avilla; a daughter, Mrs. Carl Grams (Marjory) of Ligonier; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a brother, Daniel L. of Mobile, Ala.; and a sister, Mrs. Clinton Ott of Kimmell. Funeral Friday in Sheets Funeral Home, Churubusco. Burial, Christian Chapel Cemetery
