Born Oct. 1, 1901 in Milan, Ind., she was the daughter of James Henry and Laura May (Handle) Noyes. She married George B. Hall, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 16, 1927, she married Howard Alyea in Butlerville, Ind., and he preceded her in death May 26, 1978.
Her father was the former owner of Noyes Jewelry Store, Osgood, Ind. She graduated from Osgood High School, and from Business college in Cincinnati. She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Psi Iota Xi Auxiliary, of the Daughters of the American Revolution and of the Greensburg United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Hall, Bowie, Md., and Roy L. Alyea, Carollton, Texas; one daughter Mrs. Carl (Joan A.) Schlemmer, Fairview, Pa.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son who died in infancy and by two brothers, Robert V. and James R. Noyes.
The Rev. Jack Wolfe of the United Methodist Church will officiate the services at 11 a.m. Monday in the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home, Greensburg.
Burial will be in the South Park Cemetery, Greensburg.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may go to the Decatur County Memorial Capital Campaign Fund.
