Lottie Charlette Garland Bray, 79 years of age, of South Vine Street in Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Tuesday, July 13th, 1976 at Kings Daugthers and Sons Nursing Home in Louisville, Kentucky following an illness of five months.


Lottie was born on June 5th, 1907, in Pulaski County, Kentucky, daughter of the late James W. and Sloanie H. Garland Bray. Lottie went to Louisville, Kentucky from Somerset, Kentucky five months before her death. Lottie was a member of Cotter Avenue Church of God. She enjoyed living in downtown Somerset, spending time with her husband George, and raising small breed house dogs; mainly Chihuahuas and a few Boston Terriers. She brought joy to a great many people with puppies that she had raised. She will always be remembered as a kind and loving woman.


Lottie was survived by her loving husband, George E. Bray; two sons, William Eugene Bray and James Lewis; a foster daughter, Stella Holloway; two brothers, Sam Bray and Arther Bray; four sisters, Nell Bean, Flonnie Walker, Grace Coomer, and Fronie Cook; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.


She was preceded in death by her parents, James Bray, who departed this life in 1958 and Sloanie Bray, who departed this life on December 30th, 1965.


Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 16th, at Somerset Undertaking Company, with Rev. Lambert DeLong officiating.


Burial was in the Tateville Church Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
