Death claimed one of Chelan Valley's most beloved pioneers when Mrs. James Samuel Adams, age 72, passed away at her home in Chelan this Thursday morning.
Anna Laura Greening was born at Santa Rosa, California, in 1863 and she grew to young womanhood in the state of Cal. In 1885 she was married to James Samuel Adams at Fulton, Cal.
The moved to Lincoln Co., Wa., way back in 1887 and came to Chelan in 1896. Mrs. Adams had lived here in the district continuously for virtually 40 years. Mr. Adams preceded her in death, passing away here August 24, 1933.
The deceased is survived by the following children: Tom Adams and Sarah Stone, Chelan; Della Reinhardt, San Jacinto, Ca., and Anna Tuttle of Leavenworth; three grandsons: Lyle Mathers and Clinton and James Stone, and by seven sisters and one brother, all of California.
