Served in the Mexican War.
Superintendent of Western Military Institute, University of Nashville.
Served in the thick of fighting during Civil War.
After the war became professor of engineering, mechanics and natural philosophy Georgetown, Kentucky.
Died, age 63, Brighton, ILLinois.
