Mary Ester Teel was born in MO., to Cynthia Hannah and Peter Teel. Peter Teel was killed in the Civil War (Cynthia's Widow Civivl War Pension document is online). Cynthia (Mary's mom) later married John/Jack Godfrey. Therefore, many early records for Mary Teel will be found under Mary E Godfrey. Mary Teel married William Ritter April 25, 1875. William's family was from Washington County Arkansas (parents: John Ritter & Nancy Moore Ritter). William & Mary Ritter had their son John A. Ritter (born 12/20/1879 - also buried in this cemetery). William Ritter died in a wagon accident when John was just a few months of age, in 1880. Mary E. was then married to Frank Beard for many years, they had these children: Rob, Earl, Frank (Jr), Ada, Ott, and Goldie Beard (half siblings to John A. Ritter). Frank, Mary & family acquired land through the Cherokee Strip in 1893, which the family lived on for many years. In her later years, Mary E. lived in Bryon, Oklahoma, with her son Ott and his wife Kate Beard. Cynthia Hannah Teel Godfrey (Mary's mom is buried in Carmen, Oklahoma. Peter Teel's burial location is unknown to me.
