Eliza was the wife of my grandfather's (Charles David Arnold) uncle, George Washington Arnold. She was the daughter of James and Rachel WALKER Smith.
She and her husband, George, had been blessed with two children during their marriage whom they named Van Roy and Alta.
Eliza, called Mary by some, succumbed to intestinal carcinoma just short of her 79th birthday. Her husband had preceded her in death the year before.
She was very much loved and missed by her surviving children, grandchildren, and all of her many family and friends.
