Janesville - Robert Keith Baker, age 72, of 1943 S. Jackson St., died Wed., Sept. 21, 1994, at Mercy Hospital. He was born Jan. 21, 1922, in South Lancaster Township, WI, the son of Jesse Irvin and Georgia Agnes (Quick) Baker. He was in the US Army during World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater. Robert married Frances Corpian in Lancaster, WI, on June 21, 1947. He was employed by Janesville Auto Transport Company for 24 1/2 years, retiring in 1979.

Surviving Mr. Baker are his wife, Frances of Janesville; 7 children; Roseina (James) Stiefel of Eustis, FL, Dannie (Barb - friend) Stanton, Connie Fleming, Betty Jo Clough, Mark (Lorene) Baker, Robin (Raymond) Butler, all of Janesville, Keith (Penny) Baker of South Beloit, IL; 22 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; a sister, Lois Cammack of Platteville, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law, Russell Clough; and 2 brothers, Jesse and Donald Baker.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am, on Saturday, Sept. 24, at Schneider Funeral Home, 1800 E Racine Street, Janesville, with Rev. John Boufford officiating. Burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Friends may call from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday at Schneider Funeral Home.
