Jimmie Cordell Bartee, 66 of Marietta, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, June 17, 2007 at the hospital in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Jimmie was born on February 10, 1941 to Vernon Cordell Bartee and Nadia Hallmark Bartee in Tyler, Oklahoma. He was raised in Tyler and he attended the Madill School where he graduated in 1959. Jimmie worked for WW trailers and in 1965 he moved to Bridgeport, Texas where he worked for General Dynamics and Boyd Build Industries. In 1978 Jimmie started the B&B Metal Buildings which he owned and operated for several years. In 2005 he moved to Marietta where he lived the rest of his life. Jimmie was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing, his horses and loved his dogs.
He is survived by his wife Wendy Bartee, Marietta, Ok.; Daughters and son in-laws Liz & Jim Price, Montague, Tx., Elaine & charles Romines, Chico, Tx.; Jamie & Matt Carr, Midland, Tx., Julie & Marty Casillas, Bridgeport, Tx.; Son Jim Bartee Jr., & wife Kelli, Springtown, Tx,; Son Joe Bartee, Tulsa, Ok.; Sisters Nadine Killion, Boonsville, AR.; Wanoly Harris, Whitesboro, Tx.; Evelyn & husband Martin Coleman, Independence, Mo.; Loyce & husband Jerry Eldridge, Madill, Ok.; Phyllis & husband Earl Russell, Springer, Ok.; Brothers Royce & wife Sharon Bartee, Madill, Ok.; Tony & wife Marcy Bartee, Marietta, Ok.; Terry & wife Valerie Bartee, Madill, Ok.; 17 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; several neieces, nephews and cousins; and his dog Piper.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents.
