He furnished his own horse upon day of enlistment with a value of $65.00. August 30, 1862 Absent, Left Company about -12- miles SW of Springfield, Missouri to see his family. September 15, 1862 Appointed/Promoted to Corp. April 15, 1863 Promoted to Sgt. April 21, 1863 Absent, On Scout Duty with General Vandever. April 27, 1864 Absent, Detached On Scout Duty. May 22, 1864 Absent, On Scout Duty to Hicks Station, Arkansas. July 30, 1864 Absent, Sick at Brownsville Station, Arkansas.
