Tract Record- Prt # History of Walker Co: its towns & its people.=Tubbs, Daniel, of English ancestry & Carolina stock, served in the War of 1812, was present in the final battle at New Orleans. Came to Walker Co & entered government lad in Sect 2, Twshp 15, Range 8, abt 4 miles NE of Oakman, Nov. 5, 1835. Married to Matilda Sanders, father of several children, among them being William, Polly (who married Wm Wallace Jones), Samuel & Daniel Lee Tubbs.
