Ervin J. Adams, 53, of Mexico, died Thursday at his home. Mr. Adams was an electrician for Niagara Mohawk for 18 years. He was a member and head trustee of the Community Alliance Church of New Haven and a member of its worship team. He was amember of the New Haven planning board. He was active in Mexico Little League. He was an avid bowler in Mexico and Oswego. He was active in the Mexico Youth Bowling League. He was a golfer at the Pines Golf Club. He had a passion for hunting and fishing. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a guitarist and vocalist in the bands Steam Heat and Cruise Control. Surviving, wife of 18 years the former, Laurie Stafford; three sons, Ervin (Melissa) of New Haven, Jason (Lisa) of Oswego, Ryan of Baldwinsville; seven grandchildren, Kaziah, Jesse, Sierra, Hayley, Sabrina, Jason and Nathan; one brother, Gilbert Nichols of TN. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Sunday from Harter Funeral Home, Mexico, NY. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 9 Washington Ave., Mexico, NY. Following the service, a time of reflection and fellowship will be at the Community Alliance Church of New Haven. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Community Alliance Church of New Haven or McFee Ambulance Corps, Watson Ave., Mexico, NY.
