SEBRING, Fla. - Donald Franklin Adams, 71, of Sebr- ing, Fla., formerly of New Cumberland, W.Va., died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, at 4:14 a.m. in the Highlands Re- gional Medical Center, Sebr- ing, after being in failing health since June.

He was born March 19, 1933, in Scott, W.Va., a son of Robert and Maysel Stewart Adams. Mr. Adams had resided in the New Cumberland area for several years prior to retiring to Ft. Myers and had resided in Sebring since 1992. He was a member of the Sebring Grace Brethren Church, Sebring. Mr. Adams was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Marines and was a member of American Legion Post 69 in Avon Park, Fla. He was an avid fisherman. On Dec. 26, 1968, he married Norma Jean Stout Adams, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Jeffrey, husband of Robin Hankins Adams, of Glendale, W.Va.; a daughter, Denise, wife of Mario Lombardi, of Follansbee, W.Va.; and a brother, John, husband of Isabel Goff Adams, of Wellsburg, W.Va. Deceased are one brother, Norman Adams; and three sisters, Virginia Lemel, Maria Hosler and Mary Wilson. Friends will be received in the West Alexander United Methodist Church, West Alex- ander, Pa., from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, with the Rev. Sue Spahr-Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in the West Alexander Cemetery. Lo- cal arrangements are under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Inc., Rogersville, Pa.
