Funeral arrangements are pending for Mrs Sylvia Alcantara, 31, who died in her home at 304 Bradshaw St yesterday morning of causes not yet determined with certainty. A coroner's autopsy report is expected to reveal the cause of death later today.
Mrs Alcantara's body was first discovered on the bedroom floor of her home by her two young children when they returned from school in the afternoon. However, police were not notified until Mrs Ruth Alcantara, the dead woman's mother-in-law, walked into the house at approximately 4:45 pm and saw her daughter-in-law dead.
There was no sign of violence and nothing in the house was disturbed to indicate foul play. Mrs Alcantara, a Montgomery Ward employee, was last seen alive and apparently healthy by her mother-in-law at 9:30 am.
Alvaro Alcantara, the dead woman's husband, is a Santa Fe railroad employe. He was at work when his wife apparently collapsed and died.
