Mrs. Betty Marie Beam, age 70, St. Joseph, MO died Wednesday, June 28, 1995 at the Heartland Hospital East, St. Joseph, MO. Born August 4, 1924 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late James and Eddie West Sexton and the widow of William Ray Beam. She was a member of the Shawnee Run Baptist Church. Survivors include: one brother, Charles Sexton, Harrodsburg; three sisters, Ada S. Murdock, Louisville, Viola E. Worley, Cincinnati, OH and Dora S. Balden, Harrodsburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Tom O., Sam B., and James D. Sexton. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, at Spring Hill Cemetery with Dr. David Hartman officiating. Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
