Rosary for Carmen Arteaga, 59, of Lubbock, will be today at 7 p.m. at Calvillo Funeral Home.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, with Father David Cruz officiating. Burial will be at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.
Carmen went to be with the lord on Sunday, September, 23,2007. She was born on Jan. 1, 1948, in Odel, Missouri to the late Jose and Esperanza Contreras.
She married Robert Arteaga on Dec. 8, 1989, in Lubbock. She was a housewife and a Catholic. Carmen was a life long resident of Lubbock.
Survivors include her husband of Lubbock; a son, John Villarreal of Lubbock; three daughters, Mary Sendejo, Nancy Villarreal, and Crystal Arteaga, all of Lubbock; four brothers, Alfonso, Manuel Sr., and Joe A. Sr., all of Lubbock, Roman of Merced,California; two sisters, Maria Gonzales and Janie Garza, both of Lubbock; 28 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
