GREER, SC - Mabel Rebecca Kemp Echols, 82, of 3931 Pennington Road, widow of Arthur Paul Echols, died November 2, 2005, at Allen Bennett Hospital.

A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Arthur Barney and Ellen Cena Wilbanks Kemp, she was a retired employee of Stone Manufacturing Company, and was a member of Fews Chapel United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Ken Campbell of Greer; a son-in-law, Doug Taylor of Greer; a brother, Hayden Kemp of Greer; a grandson, Darren Medlin; and a great-granddaughter, Shea Medlin.

Mrs. Echols was predeceased by a daughter, Shirley Elaine Taylor.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Wood Mortuary, conducted by the Rev. Woodrow Smith and the Rev. Paul Brokaw. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.
