Braden

CAMERON — Ivie Dell Blackmon Braden, 70 of Cameron died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007 in a Temple hospital. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Saturday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Shuffield officiating. Burial followed in the Liberty Cemetery.

Mrs. Braden was born Dec. 27, 1936 in Rockdale to Hosea Lee and Ivie (Dickey) Blackmon. A lifelong resident of Milam County, she married Billy Ray Braden on Feb. 23, 1952. She worked for the Veteran's Café in Temple for several years and was also a newspaper carrier for the Temple Daily Telegram. She was a member of the Battetown Baptist Church.

Her daughter, Lisa Aynn Williams preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Ray Braden of Cameron; three sons, Randy Braden of Winter Park, FL, Tommy Braden of Vidor and Roger Braden of Caldwell; two daughters, Debbie Halsey and Karen Scott, both of Cameron; two sisters, Sadie Nickels and Madie Threadgill, both of Cameron; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in memory of Ive Dell Braden to Scott and White Development Office, 2401 South 31st St., Temple, Texas 76508.
