Cora Lee Jones, a homemaker and cook, died at 1:40 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at Lane Regional Medical Center. She was 68 and a resident and native of Norwood.

Arrangements entrusted to Richardson Funeral Home, Clinton. Religious service at Mount Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton, conducted by the Rev. L.L. Harris. Interment in Norwood Cemetery.

She is survived by her two adopted daughters, Barbara Williams and husband Jimmy Sr., and Alberta Young and husband Anthony; niece, Carolyn Sue Winters; and three nephews, Elmo Winters and wife Kiki Winters, James Winters, and Wilbert and Jackie Winters.

Preceded in death by her mother, Irene Williams; father, Frank Williams Sr.; and brothers, Frank, John, Sheldon and Jimmy Williams.

She was a member of OES Pride of Norwood Chapter 127, and was a prominent community service leader and an active member of the Antioch Baptist Church usher board. She loved to cook and care for others.
