Beulah Jane Jeffries, 68, New Bloomfield, died Aug. 27, 2000, at Columbia Regional Hospital, Columbia.

She was born Aug. 5, 1932, in St. Louis a daughter of Arnie and Lorene Hardy Bray. She was married March 25, 1953, in Troy, to William Jeffries, who died in February 1995.

She was employed by the state of Missouri at the Truman Building until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Jefferson City.

Survivors include: three sons, Darryl Jeffries, Tebbetts, and Keith Jeffries, Dixie, and Bill Jeffries, St. Charles; five sisters, Anna Marie Bode, St. Peters, Barbara Hausman, O'Fallon, Velma Laydell, Henderson, Texas, Doris Carter, Cherryville, and Dorothy Baldwin, Tebbetts; one brother, Ben Bray, Troy; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Lowell Perkins will officiate. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Charles Memorial Gardens, St. Charles.

Visitation will be from 4:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton, and from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the Beulah Jeffries Scholarship Fund for Kingdom Christian Academy.
