And this is what his Obituary said: *(Source) from the Winchester Evening Star Newspaper; dated March 29th, 1958, (Saturday) reads:

Here's what Mary Virginia (Lowery) Newlin's obit says; from the Winchester Evening Star Newspaper; dated March 2nd, 1991, (Saturday):

Mary V. Newlin:

Mary V. Newlin "94," formerly of Frederick Co, Va., died Thursday, at a local nursing home. Mrs. Newlin was born Aug. 30th, 1896, in Frederick Co, Va., the daughter of (Charles) Edward Lowery and (Emily "aka" Emma) Alice (Loy) Lowery. She was a member of the Rosedale Baptist Church. She married Salem E. Newlin, April 4th, 1916, in Hagerstown, Maryland. Surviving are three daughters:
Grace M. (Newlin) Pitcock, of Winchester, Va; Margaret (Newlin) Hewitt-Gardner, and Lena C. (Newlin) Wisecarver, both of Frederick Co, Va; and son: Floyd Newlin, of Shawnee Springs Nursing Home; 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Two sons: Raymond Newlin and Roy Newlin; four sisters: Julie (Lowery) Boyce, Laura (Lowery) Collier, Ruth Lowery, and Nellie Lowery; and four brothers: Luther Lowery, Maynard Lowery, Richard Lowery, and James Lowery, are deceased. A funeral will be at 11 a.m., Monday, in Rosedale Baptist Church, with Rev. Ken Smith officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, off of Cedar Creek Grade, in Frederick Co, Va. Pallbearers will be: Henry Wood, Harvey Collins, Dennis Wolford, Melvin Arnold, Clifton Arnold, and Kenneth Whitacre Sr. The family will receive friends, Sunday, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Jones Funeral Home.

(My added note): My mother (Sandra Fay NEWLIN Brooks-Wilson) said, when she was younger, she would help her Grandma Mary on the Newlin family farm, helping her Grandma collect eggs; and gather cherries, apples, peaches, and vegetables to can, and loved watching her Grandma Mary make homemade pies; and homemade applesauce and apple-butter; and homemade cottage cheese; and loved watching her Grandma Mary make hearty big breakfast's for Great-Grandpa Salem and he and Great-Grandma Mary's 3 grown sons, "My Grandpa, Floyd," and his two brothers, Raymond "Radio," and Roy. My mother said she especially loved eating her homemade biscuits and gravy... Since I only remember seeing my Great-Grandmother Mary, about 3 times "when I was growing up," I was too young to really remember much about her, so my mom said her Grandma Mary was a talkative friendly little thing, a short Irish lady, who worked very hard on the Newlin family farm, and was always doing something around the house or outside in the garden... That she was still going strong even in her early 90's, until she finally couldn't see very well, and had to go to a nursing home. Plus, the local Winchester newspaper had wrote an article on Mary, back in the 1980's, for her being one of the last original homestead pioneer families from Frederick County, Virginia.
