Jennie Douthit
Services for Jennie Douthit, 82, of Elkhart, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. Floyd Petersen officiating. Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Mrs. Douthit died Thursday evening at Country Trails Care Center in Grand Saline.
She was born May 19, 1913, in Anderson County to Edwin Martin Wolf and Lillie Welch Wolf.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Elkhart and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claud Douthit, in 1983.
She is survived by her daughters, Iva Jean Welborn and Madeline Fincher, both of Terrell, and Geraldine Curry of Elkhart; stepson, C. L. Douthit of Palestine, sister, Cora Fortson of Duncanville; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Arvel Fincher, Bennie Toole, Mitchell Carnes, Adolph Shaver, Tommy Valentine and Lloyd Miller.
