Irene Elma (Osborne) Adcox, 79, of 1260 El Rancho Drive, 64A, Sparks, Nev., died August 9, 2007 at her home in Sparks, Nev.
Born in Pocahontas, Va., she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Martha Eliza Smith Osborne. She attended Pocahontas High School, leaving the area when she was 18 years old. She formerly attended the Church by Jesus Christ, Pocahontas, Va. She was retired from a casino in Reno, Nev., where she last worked in the accounting department.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers, four half brothers and two half sisters.
Survivors: One brother: William Henry Osborne, Pocahontas, Va.; one sister: Hazel Miller, Pocahontas, Va. and several nieces and nephews.
The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be conducted Friday, August 17, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Church by Jesus Christ, Pocahontas, Va., with the Rev. Mike Gibson and George Scott officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date at the Scott Cemetery, Peel Chestnut Mountain.
