Once long ago I saw ray on "the tonight show" in the seventies. At one point ray said, "I'd like the people of the world to realize we are a billion people encapsulated in a single skin." And the audience GASPED. That was ray--he had a way with words. sweet voyages, poet of the summer night. -Anonymous Added: May. 16, 2013 |

I found two books I hadn't known you'd written and bought them right away. What a treat! Now I will check to see if there are any others that I've missed and, if so, get those also. I love reading your stories because I can see them in my mind. You were quite the author. Rest In Peace, Sir. And now you know all the answers to all of the questions you asked when you were alive. How great is that? God Speed. -

You never drove a car after witnessing as a youth a terrible accident. I agree with you they are arrogant and destructive machines. I applaud you for that. RIP and thank for the fantastic stories. -

Ray Douglas Bradbury: When I was in high school, my English teacher told my class and myself we are going to be reading some books by an American fantasy, horror, science fiction, and mystery writer and your were best known for your dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451 (1953) and for the science fiction stories gathered together as The Martian Chronicles (1950). My teacher told us that you were one of the most celebrated among 20th century American writers of speculative fiction and some of your works of literature hasbeen adapted into television shows or films, thanks for the great works of literature, you will be missed, happy 92nd birthday! -
