In the Original Book of Interments in the list of "Unknowns", the following names, all from 50th Ohio, originally buried at New Hope Church: Wm. Wiley (536), John Franklin (537), Wm. Pear (538), John Clotter (539), Wm. Stagel (540)...

There is this note written next to the above names: "Belong to these graves but it is not known in which particular one." Another note says the head boards had been pulled up and left on the ground.

All of the other men are in Findagrave from the original transfer from the VA into interment.net, except John Clotter. He was not listed in interment.net.

Five other men of the 50th Ohio who were killed in the same action:

John Franklin
Wm Slagle

The sixth man was not identified by name. He is interred in G-7112. This could be William Dean, Co K, listed as killed in action near Pine Mountain, May 30, 1864, in the Ohio Roster Roll of Honor.
