Marcelline Mildred Romaine was born 24 Nov 1913 in a log cabin in Kremmling, Grand County, Colorado. She was the first child of Charles Henry Romaine and Felcie Myrtle Bennett Romaine. After her father died, when she was 5, her mother moved her and her brother, David, to New York City, to find work. She grew up in Queens, and married Howard Raymond Brown on 16 Jun 1940. Together they had 3 sons and one daughter. She retired with Howard to California in the 1980s, and lived there until her death in 2000. She is fondly remembered by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
