Gilbert D. Goldsmith was born January 26, 1918 in Seattle, WA to Eggbert and Florence Denham. He died June 24, 2007 at Garden Terrace in Federal Way, WA. He was 89 years old.

Gilbert was a tooling engineer and later an administrator for the Boeing Company.

Gil enjoyed spending time with his family, and occasionally would take road trip vacations with family members. He loved driving and exploring the back roads of Washington in his Buick or his Chinook motor home. He enjoyed skiing, reading, and regular visits to the Issaquah Cafe. He was a resident of the Tiger Mountain area of Issaquah from 1981-2003.

He is survived by his three sons Gregory Goldsmith of Puyallup, WA, Richard Goldsmith of Milton, WA and Ken Mustell of Burien, WA. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Marie Goldsmith in 1989. He will be remembered by all who knew him as one of the last true gentleman, with a ready helping hand, quiet demeanor, and a delightful sense of humor.

His funeral service will begin 1:00pm Monday, July 2, 2007 at Flintofts Funeral Home, 540 East Sunset Way, Issaquah, WA 98027. A private burial will be held at Lower Hillside Cemetery, Issaquah, WA. Friends are invited to sign the online guest book at www.flintofts.com.
