Victim of the Number 9 Mine Explosion at 1:45PM on November 13, 1954. 51 Year old maintenance forman at the time of the explosion. His body was removed from the mine on March 14, 1955. He was laid to rest on March 18, 1955. He was the first man brought out of the mine as a result of this gas explosion.
At the time of the explosion, Mr. Dunmire was married with two children under the age of 18.
