DEATH OF MRS. JOHN ALLEN
Sarah Virginia Wilson Was born in Virginia August 13, 1837 and died at her home northeast of Bethel on July 4, 1919, being 81 years, 10 months, and 21 days old at the time of her death.
She came to Missouri with her parents when a child and settled near Looney Creek church of which she became a member. On January 16, 1867, she was united in marriage to John Allen, who died 27 years ago. To this union were born two children, William Allen and Mrs. Effie Hawkins, both whom survive her.
The funeral was held at Shiloh church Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. C. E. Nichols of Clarence. Burial was in the cemetery there.
