Charlotte Ellen Zike Hunnell Hadley Age 97, of Chicago, IL, and formerly of Morristown, IN, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2005 at Devonshire Independent Living, Chicago, IL.
She was born in Morristown, IN, September 16, 1907. She was the daughter of W.W. Zike and Anna (Bartlett) Zike. She was a housewife. She graduated from Morristown High School and attended DePauw University and Central Business College. On September 3, 1927 she married Charles H. Hunnell who died on November 19, 1977.
Due to the nature of Mr. Hunnell's work as an engineer with the US Army they traveled and lived in various places. On June 16, 1982 she married Harold Hadley and they moved to San Rafael, CA and he passed away in September 2001. Mrs. Hadley was a member of the St. Paul Episcopal Church in San Rafael, CA, Federated Club work, President of the Shelby County Federation of Club's, Improvement Club, Lady Elk Lodge #1108.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, W.W. and Anna Zike; sisters, Helen Zike and Ruth Buhler. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Engle (Kay) Woollen of Shelbyville, IN; son, Charles W. (Janet) Hunnell of Buffalo Grove, IL; seven granddaughters and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, February 5 in Frazier Funeral Home, Morristown, with calling there 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 4. Interment will be held in Hanover Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be donated to the Hanover Cemetery.
